Mi clase de español- nivel 2

I am a dually certified Special Education/ Spanish teacher and teach three heterogeneous Spanish classes; 1,2, and 3. Since 2008, I have helped establish and develop the Spanish Collaborative program at Pleasantville High School in New York. My classes include typical learners, students with learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, speech and language impairments, and students with attention deficit disorders. I believe that I have truly been blessed with this role. I have seen my students grow, persevere and challenge themselves over my 9 years of teaching. I would love to have this opportunity to grow and challenge myself.  I would love to show my students my passion to learn Spanish and immerse myself in the culture.

During the 2016-17 academic year, I am a Spanish/Special Education teacher at Pleasantville High School where I teach 1 section of 3 Spanish classes: Spanish 1, Spanish 2 and Spanish 3. This year I have a total of 69 students. Of those students, 26 are taking the Spanish National Exam.

These three pictures above are of my Spanish 2 class. They are currently working in groups of 4 or 5 to write and perform a skit using clothing vocabulary.

My name is Jeanette Robinson, and I am a semi-finalist for the 2017 National Spanish Exam Teacher Study Abroad Scholarship in Spain/Costa Rica.
